Es el creador, el dueño real y quien dispone de todos los asuntos, quien derrama la bendición sobre las criaturas y se ocupa de sus siervos justos, protegiendo sus corazones correctamente. Este nombre no debe ser atribuido a otro que no sea Allah, exaltado sea. Sin embargo, cuando se utiliza para referirse a otro que no sea Allah, se utiliza siempre en el caso genitivo, para significar “el propietario o poseedor de algo”, como Rabb al-‘usrah; es decir, el jefe de la familia.
He is the creator, the owner and disposer of all affairs who bestows His blessings upon His creatures and looks after His righteous servants by setting their hearts aright. This name must not be attributed to other than Allah, Exalted be He. However, when used to refer to other than Allah, it is always used in the genitive case, to mean ‘the owner or proprietor of something’, such as rabb al-‘usrah; that is, the head of the family.
